Fresh Scratch is a fast-drying artificial blood preparation in 3 colors. It does not contain solvent. The dark version is outstandingly effective for simulating the scab on a wound. The light version can also be used for simulation of fresh wounds, since the dried Fresh Scratch preparation retains its shine, which allows the simulated wound to still look fresh. The third available color version actually simulates an unnatural appearance: an “old-oil effect.” This perfectly simulates oil-smeared skin. Fresh Scratch is best applied with a stipple sponge or application spatula in typically effectively forms, and then allowed to dry. During the drying phase, the preparation should not be touched, since this will produce matte spots. After drying, Fresh Scratch will not stain upon contact. It can be completely removed from the skin with generous application of soap and warm water.
