Alkali Resistant (AR) Glass Scrim is an oriented fiber fabric. Scrim is often used in conjunction with fiberreinforced mixes to provide additional tensile strength in locations that will experience point-specific
strain. When they are placed in the tensile regions of the product they can significantly increase the flexural strength of the composite. More than one layer of scrim can be used for increased performance.
This scrim is produced with 10mm X 10mm webbing and comes in 1 m wide rolls. It is availablein lengths of 4.6 m, 15.2 m, 91.4 m.
All of Buddy Rhodes alkali resistant glass fiber products are manufactured in compliance with ASTM C1666/C 1666M, EN 15422 and under recommendations of PCI and GRCA.

• Provides additional tensile reinforcement
• High Tensile Strength
• Alkali resistant & non-corrosive
Application
Typically, scrim is added to a concrete matrix to provide targeted tensile reinforcement. This is most commonly added to reinforce unsupported spans or cantilevered sections. Scrim should be placed closest
to the plane under tension. In unsupported spans, this is the bottom plane, while on cantilevered sections, this will be the top. When reinforcing a visible plane, care must be taken to embed the scrim deeply enough
such that it does not "ghost" through the surface.
